Sandvik Kanthal Nikrothal 42 Resistance heating wire and resistance wire
Categories: Metal; Ferrous Metal

Material Notes: Nikrothal 42 is an austenitic nickel chromium alloy (NiCr alloy) for use at temperatures up to 1150°C (2100°F). The alloy is characterized by good ductility after use and good corrosion resistance, except in sulphur containing atmospheres and certain controlled atmospheres. Nikrothal 42 has an attractive combination of oxidation resistance and form stability making it a suitable alloy for open coil heating elements. Typical applications for Nikrothal 42 are electric heating elements in domestic appliances and other heating equipment.
