Fiber lengths average 200 µm - inadequate for good mechanical property improvement but can result in improved shrinkage, thermal and electrical conductivity, and frictional characteristics. 98% carbon assay, 13 µm filament diameter Solvay has acquired the Thornel product line as a part of the Cytec purchase.
