LyondellBasell Hostalen CRP 100 RC-HT HDPE
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyethylene (PE); High Density (HDPE)

Material Notes: Hostalen CRP 100 RC-HT is a high density polyethylene (HDPE) with high melt viscosity for extrusion. The natural compound contains a robust stabilizer package for long term heat aging resistance. It provides also excellent stress crack resistance properties (ESCR) combined with very good long term hydrostatic strength. Hostalen CRP 100 RC-HT can be classified as: PE100 (MRS = 10 MPa) and PE100-RC, fulfilling the requirements of EN 1555-1:2021 for SHT, CRB-Test, AFNCT and ANPT. The compound has been tested for heat ageing resistance acc. ISO 21003-2, annex D. From the obtained test results a thermal durability of > 50 years at temperatures of up to 70°C can be extrapolated. Typical customer applications are cable ducts for the protection of high voltage cables.
