Accuratus Accuflect™ Light-Reflecting Ceramic
Categories: Ceramic; Glaze

Material Notes: Accuflect™ is a specially formulated and processed ceramic developed by Accuratus to satisfy the market demand for diffuse reflectors in high temperature and high energy environments.

Key Property: Highly diffuse reflectance from near UV to Infrared

Typical Uses: Flashlamp pumped solid state laser cavities, Diode laser pumped solid state laser cavities, High temperature diffuse illumination, High temperature lamp housings, Tube furnace radiant energy reflectors

General Information: B6 type Accuflect™ is a porous ceramic usable to 1300 °C. B6 material has enhanced reflectance in the infrared. When the material is used in water cooled cavities or areas of significant contamination a glazed ceramic designated G6 is recommended. G6 is usable to 750 °C.

Accuflect™ reflects 95% to 99% of incident light from 450 nm to 2500 nm. The reflectivity is essentially non-specular with nearly perfect LAMBERTIAN behavior across the entire spectrum.

Accuflect™ is available in two product types. The B6 material has the virgin ceramic surface produced during manufacture. The G6 material has a specialty clear glaze applied to seal the surface porosity of the virgin material, allow easy cleaning and provide a non-contaminating surface where it is exposed to atmosphere or liquid environments.
