CHT ALPATEC 7610/60 C 2 HV RTV Silicone Adhesive Sealant
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Silicone; Silicone, RTV, Adhesive/Sealant Grade

Material Notes: Description: This is a 1-part, RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanizing) silicone adhesive sealant. It is one in a range of Acetoxy cure products which are solvent free. During cure, it liberates a very small amount of acetic acid, giving rise to the familiar ‘vinegar’ odour, which quickly dissipates after cure. It exhibits good primer-less adhesion to many substrates including but not limited to; aluminium, nonferrous metals, steel, glass, enamelled surfaces, fabrics ceramics, thermosetting, thermoplastics and wood and cures rapidly at room temperature when in contact with atmospheric moisture. This product is not to be recommended for use with galvanized metals, ferrous metals, copper and its associated alloys or in electronic assemblies.

Key Features

  • Good resistance to chemicals
  • Very good elongation
  • Good resistance to further tearing
  • High transparency
Key Applications:
  • Complies with Oekotex 100
  • Tin free
  • Solvent free
Application: Coating of stocking laces, narrow fabric and other textiles. ALPATEC 7610/60 C 2 HV is ready to use and can be processed directly from the original container e.g. by means of drum assist pumps without prior mixing. Due to the tin-free blocked catalyst, the silicone paste requires temperatures between 70 and 80 °C for 30 to 40 minutes and 5 – 7 % air humidity for a totally nonsticky fixation. Higher air humidity leads to a destruction of the catalyst and higher temperatures lead to a premature skin formation which inhibits the reaction and the silicone layer remains sticky. Special remark: Direct contact of certain cosmetic articles (skin creams) with the silicone layer can lead to a change in colour. We therefore suggest to carry out pre-trials in production and to point this out on the ready-for-use products if necessary.

Cured Product: Measured under standard climate DIN 50 014-23/50-2. Vulcanised material measured after 14 days.
