Material Notes: MTM79 is an 80 to 180°C (176 to 356°F) curing epoxy matrix for the manufacture of components operating at high service temperatures. MTM79 has been developed specifically for motorsport bodywork applications.

Features & Benefits:

  • 30 days out life at 21°C (70°F)
  • 12 months storage life at -18°C (0°F)
  • Bonds directly to Nomex core in bodywork type applications
  • Excellent tack and drape characteristics
  • High service temperature, ultimate Tg of 220°C (428°F)
  • Flexible curing, 80 to 180°C (176 to 356°F)
Property data reported for dry samples after cure cycle: 1.5 hrs at 135°C (275°F), 6.2 bar (90 psi)+2 hrs at 180°C (356°F). Data normalized to 41 vol% except for shear properties.
