Microtherm Group Steelflex Panel Filament Reinforced Silica Thermal Insulation Panel, Water Repellent
Categories: Ceramic; Oxide; Silicon Oxide; Other Engineering Material

Material Notes: Microtherm® Steelflex Panels are a cost effective alternative to fully hydrophobic insulation panels where water may be present during installation. A polyethylene film covering allows the panels to rest in contact with wet castable cement without detriment to the thermal performance.
    Properties
  • Water repellent high temperature thermal insulation for steel making applications.
  • Stable thermal performance for continuous exposure to 1000°C (1832°F).
  • Formulation based on pyrogenic silica with a mineral oxide opacifier and E-glass filament reinforcement.
  • Non-combustible microporous insulation core.
  • Environmentally friendly.
  • Free of harmful respirable fibers.
    Benefits
  • Water repellent high temperature insulation.
  • Ultra thin allowing productive volume savings.
  • Clean in use.
  • Fast, simple installation.
  • Extremely cost effective thermal solutions.
