Chesterton ARC MX1 Vertical Build Extreme Wear Compound
Categories: Ceramic; Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy

Material Notes: Description: An advanced ceramic composite for the repair and protection of all metal surfaces subjected to severe erosion, abrasion and chemical attack. It is applied at a thickness of 6 mm (1/4”) or more. Non-Shrinking, 100% solids. ARC MX1 is formulated with a high concentration of ceramic beads and fine ceramic particles for extremely abrasive environments where superior protection is desirable. ARC MX1 is applied to a primed surface by trowel or it may be molded where close tolerances and a smooth finish are necessary. It is chosen over ARC 890 and 897 when increased abrasion protection is required.

Benefits:

  • Outlasts other wear resistant materials and coatings by 5-7 times.
  • Excellent wear characteristics extend equipments’ operating cycles
  • Outwears weld overlay or ceramic tiles
  • Tough resin structure resists thermal-mechanical shock
  • May be molded to precise dimensions for critical tolerances
  • Performs well under fluctuating chemical environments.

Suggested Uses:

  • Pulverizers
  • Dredge Pumps
  • Hoppers and Silos
  • Tile Lined Conveyor Screws
  • CD4/Ni-Hard/Hordox Slurry pumps and pipe Elbows
  • Fans/Blowers/Cyclones
  • Transport Pipelines for Abrasives
  • Metal Clad Exhaust Fan Housing
  • Ceramic Tile Lined Chutes
  • Ceramic Tile or Rubber Lined Deflector Hoods
