Multranol 3900 polyether polyol is a 4,800-molecular-weight polyoxypropylene triol specially modified with ethylene oxide. Properties / Applications Multranol 3900 polyether polyol is a 4,800-molecular-weight polyoxypropylene triol specially modified with ethylene oxide. The terminal end-groups have a high percentage of primary hydroxyl end-groups, giving it a relatively high rate of reactivity with isocyanates. It is compatible with most polyether polyols and can be blended with other diols, triols, and polymer polyols to achieve desirable modifications of product properties. Multranol 3900 polyol is used in a broad range of urethane foam and other applications, including sealants, caulks, deck coatings, elastomers, tire fill, and reaction injection molding (RIM). As with any product, the use of Multranol 3900 polyol in a given application must be tested (including but not limited to field testing) in advance by the user to determine suitability.
