Intol® 1500 is an emulsion styrene-butadiene rubber obtained by cold polymerization using a rosin acid soap as emulsifier. A non-staining antioxidant is added during the production process. Key Features: E-SBR is a general purpose rubber characterized by good processability, mechanical properties and abrasion resistance. It has limited resistance to oil and weather but properly compounded, it is suitable for use in outdoor applications. The use of rosin acid soap results in a higher tack of the green compound and a slightly slower cure rate compared to fatty/rosin acid emulsified types. Main Applications: Tire manufacturing and retreading, conveyor belts, hoses and other mechanical goods. Information provided by Polimeri Europa. Versalis is the Eni subsidiary containing the plastics and rubber businesses. |
