Material Notes: Description

Valtra® HG200N02 is a high impact styrenic injection molding product with well balanced flow, set-up time, impact, and aesthetic qualities. Valtra® HG200N02 is especially suitable for high-speed, thin-to-thick-wall molding to take advantage of faster cycle times, lower energy usage, and lower part cost versus ABS. Valtra® HG200N02 is not moisture sensitive and does not require pre-drying. The recommended processing range is 380oF-430oF. Valtra® HG200N02 natural complies with Food Additive Regulation 21CFR177.1640 for polystyrene and rubber modified polystyrene, which states that such materials may be safely used in contact with foods.

Applications

Valtra® HG200N02 is recommended for molding of refrigerator parts, home appliances, consumer electronic products, medical devices, and cosmetic packaging. Information provided by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company.
