Material Notes: Sand Castings: ASTM B 80. Permanent Mold Castings: ASTM B 199. Investment Castings: B403. Readily castable, has a low microshrinkage tendency, and is used in the solution-treated condition (T4 temper). Typically used for commercial and military permanent-mold and investment castings requiring good strength and excellent ductility and toughness. Good castability tough, pressure tight.
