Material Notes: Akoafloor, a PB-1 based copolymer (PB-R), has been designed to meet the growing demand for flexible pipes in surface heating and cooling systems. These random copolymers provide higher flexibility thus facilitating easier installation. Additionally, PB-R copolymers offer marked improvement in elongation at break and impact toughness allowing for quicker installation at lower temperatures with a lower risk of damage. Akoafloor PB 4235-1 ivory is a highly isotactic polyolefin manufactured from butene-1 monomer. The product provides excellent long term hydrostatic strength also at elevated temperatures combined with high flexibility. Akoafloor PB 4235-1 complies with requirements specified in ISO 15876, ISO 12230, DIN 16968/DIN 16969 and many other National Standards for PB-1 pipe applications. The grade is typically used for extrusion into pipe and injection molding into fittings for nonpotable heating water applications. Akoafloor PB 4235-1 is available in ivory color in pellet form. Akoafloor PB 4235-1 may not be used in the manufacture of pipe applications intended for sale or shipment to North America, without prior written approval by manufacturer for each specific product and application. Applications: District Heating, Fittings, Industrial, Radiator Connections, Underfloor Heating.
