Material Notes: Sandvik seal grade H6N is a standard/straight cobalt binder grade. This grade shows excellent wear resistance combined with high toughness. Due to the cobalt binder, this grade is not recommended for applications in corrosive environments.

Features:

  • 6% cobalt binder, 94% tungsten carbide. The carbide grain size is medium.
  • Very good wear resistance
  • High toughness
  • Relatively low to medium corrosion resistance –particularly to aqueous solutions, due to the cobalt binder.
  • Good brazeability
