Extreme Materials from MCAM
Visit Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials for Extreme Materials - high performance plastic machining stock engineered to replace metals such as nickel alloys or stainless steel.

Haynes Hastelloy® B-2 alloy, bright-annealed sheet, heat treated at 1149°C (2100°F), hydrogen cooled  (discontinued **)
Categories: Metal; Nonferrous Metal; Nickel Alloy; Superalloy

Material Notes: Excellent resistance to HCl, also withstands hydrogen chloride, sulfuric, acetic and phosphoric acids, excellent resistance to pitting, to stress corrosion cracking and to knife-line and heat-affecting zone attack. B-2 is NOT recommended in the presence of ferric or cupric salts as these salts may cause rapid corrosion failure. Ferric or cupric salts may develop when HCl acid contacts Iron or Copper.

Data provided by the manufacturer, Haynes International, Inc.

Key Words: ASME SB-626, UNS N10665, ASME SB-333, ASME SB-335, ASME SB-619, ASME SB-622
