Zell-Metall Engineering Plastics Zellamid 900 (POM-C) at 50% RH
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Acetal (Polyoxymethylene, POM); Acetal Copolymer, Unreinforced

Material Notes: Zellamid® 900 is the registered trademark of Zell-Metall’s high molecular weight Acetal resin.

Acetal (POM) is noted for its high mechanical strength, heat resistance and good antifriction properties. As water absorption is almost nil dimensional accuracy and stability is higher than that of nylons. Physical properties remain unchanged in various environments. This material is manufactured in natural - Zellamid® 900 and black color - Zellamid® 900 SW, using Copolymer resin. Homopolymer Acetal is available on special request. Typical applications are gears, levers, springs, snap connectors, cam switches, clamps, pump components, mud handling equipment, electronic and office machines . Acetal lends itself also to all submerged applications.
