Material Notes:	SARAN® MA 119 barrier polymer with a molecular weight of 90000, is a copolymer of vinylidene chloride and methyl acrylate, designed for multilayer barrier films used in flexible packaging. It is supplied as a white, unformulated, free flowing powder (particle size 245 microns). It offers excellent oxygen and water vapor barrier, high shrink and complies with the requirements of FDA for use as a component of articles in contact with food (21 CFR 177.1990). SK Global Chemical has purchased the SARAN® resin business from Dow.
