Product Description: Akrochem HR 625 (glycerol ester of gum rosin) is an 85°C softening point, low molecular weight rosin gum produced from natural, renewable resources. This rosin’s distinctive feature is that it contains acid functionality (-COOH), making it compatible in a wide range of elastomers. This rosin is appropriate for use in rubber products, sealants, coatings, adhesives and printing inks. Applications: Gum Rosin is utilized in rubber products as a low-cost tackifier and softener in hoses, belts, footwear, flooring and molded goods, etc. This rosin aids in processing of a wide range of elastomers compounds by increasing green tack, rate of incorporation of fillers, stock flow and improves knitting. Gum Rosin is recommended for light colored stocks and typical loading range is 10 – 25 phr.
