Angst+Pfister APSOplast® PSU High-performance plastic
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polysulfone (PSU)

Material Notes: These PSU semi-finished products are manufactured from a non-UV-stabilized polysulfone raw material. This material offers very good resistance to radiation, good ionic purity, and favourable resistance to chemicals and hydrolysis. In comparison with PEI, PSU has a lower profile of properties and is often used as a replacement for polycarbonate if higher temperature resistance, improved chemical resistance, and steam sterilization options are required. PSU is often used in the food processing industry (for milking machines, pumps, valves, filter plates, and heat exchangers) and for technical medical components which need to be repeatedly cleaned and sterilized.
