Syensqo (Solvay Specialty Polymers) Algoflon® L101-1 Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Fluoropolymer; Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE); PTFE Powder

Material Notes: Algoflon® L101-1 is a white PTFE micropowder comprising loose agglomerates of sub-micron sized particles. It exhibits excellent chemical and heat resistance, low surface energy and low coefficient of friction. Algoflon® L101-1 is specially designed for use as an additive in high quality oils and greases. Having higher specific surface area than Algoflon® L203, it can be used in lower concentrations to reduce coefficient of friction and enhance tribological performance of lubricants. Algoflon® L101-1 can be used in inks for improving abrasion, scratch and rub resistance. Additionally it can impart non-stick properties and improve wear-resistance in thermoplastics and coatings.

Features: Good Chemical Resistance; High Heat Resistance; Low Friction; Low Molecular Weight

Uses: Additive; Blending

Additional Properties: Average Particle Size - Internal Method 3.5 µm; Average Particle Size - Internal Method 0.14 µm; Specific Surface Area - Internal Method > 14 m²/g
