| AboCast 10-5 is a filled, high-viscosity epoxy resin. It is blended with AboCure 50-12 to make a structural adhesive and casting compound for the optic and electric industry. AboCure 50-12 is a clear room-temperature-cure, low-viscosity, high modulus converter. AboCast 10-5/AboCure 50-12 is preferred when the highest hardness, rigidity, chemical, and heat resistance obtainable with any room-temperature cure are desired. It is excellent for castings with high requirements. This blend's main advantages are: it has low-viscosity and is faster, very hard, room-temperature-cure, chemical resistant, and can be used for small castings. It also is dielectric and offers good adhesion, virtually no shrinkage, and high resistance to alkalis, diluted acids, water, many solvents, and outdoors. |
