Master Bond EP30DP-NV Toughened, two component epoxy for bonding, sealing, coating and encapsulation
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy; Epoxy Encapsulant, Unreinforced

Material Notes: Key Features:
  • Low viscosity
  • Long working life
  • Cryogenically serviceable
  • RoHS compliant
Master Bond EP30DP-NV is a versatile, two component, epoxy system featuring superior toughness and abrasion resistance for high performance bonding, sealing, coating and encapsulation. It has an interesting chemistry where the rigidity of the epoxy is modified by the addition of a urethane based flexibilizer. This modification confers a lower Shore D hardness to the cross linked entity. It also enables a higher elongation than normally seen with basic epoxy compounds. It has a long working life, and after mixing, a low exotherm. It cures readily at ambient temperatures or more rapidly at elevated temperatures. Optimal curing is overnight at room temperature followed by 2-4 hours at 150°F. The system is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents. EP30DP-NV bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including metals, ceramics, composites, glass and many plastics. Its toughness allows it to withstand rigorous thermal cycling and shock as well as mechanically induced vibration. The epoxy-urethane backbone of this system gives it a higher level of abrasion resistance than more standard epoxy. It is an excellent electrical insulator. This, combined with its low viscosity and low exotherm, allows it to be used for moderate to larger sized encapsulations. Another special property is cryogenic serviceability with a temperature range extending from 4K to +250°F. The color of Part A is clear, and Part B is amber clear. EP30DP-NV can be used in electronics, aerospace, optical, specialty OEM and other applications where this product profile is desirable.

Product Advantages:

  • Versatile curing options
  • Long working life and low exotherm
