Evonik VESTAMID® HTplus M1034 black E70285 Polyphthalamide (PPA), 40% Glass Fiber Reinforced  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyphthalamide (PPA); Polyphthalamide (PPA), 40% Glass Fiber Reinforced

Material Notes: Glass fiber-reinforced, laser-weldable polyphthalamide compound. VESTAMID® HTplus M1034 black E70285 (similar like RAL 8022) is a glass fiber-reinforced, heat-stabilized polyphthalamide compound (PPA) with good IR-laser transparency for injection molding. The material contains about 40% glass fibers, an aging protective agent and processing aid for a fast and even form filling. VESTAMID® HTplus M1034 black E70285 is laser-weldable by a diode-pumped or solid-state laser in the range of ? = 808-1064 nm. The transparency level of VESTAMID® HTplus M1034 black E70285 can be influenced with the mold temperature during the injection molding process. With lower mold temperatures of 140°C the laser transparency can be increased up to 25% compared to higher temperatures of 180°C. Depending on the used mold temperature the processing shrinkage may vary slightly and therefore has to be considered regarding mold dimensions. The mechanical properties are not influenced. VESTAMID® HTplus M1034 black E70285 is supplied as cylindrical pellets in polyethylene packaging. Drying at 120°C for at least 4 hours before processing is recommended.
