Lord Adhesives 7421 Urethane Adhesive System
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Polyurethane, TS; Thermoset Polyurethane, Adhesive

Material Notes: LORD® 7421 adhesive is a single-component, moisture-cure urethane adhesive offering quality adhesion performance and non-conductive properties. It successfully bonds Hytrel®, chlorinated polyethylene (CPE), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), Nylon 11 and other thermoplastics to fiber reinforcements, such as polyester and Kevlar®, during construction of high-pressure hose. LORD 7421 adhesive adheres reinforcement yarns to the extruded core, as well as adhering the extruded jacket to the reinforcement yarns. This single-component adhesive provides good hydrolytic stability and has an increased working life. Hytrel and Kevlar are trademarks of DuPont. After opening, protect adhesive from excessive exposure to moisture by using dry nitrogen as an inert cover each time material is removed. Do not return dispensed material to its original container. The viscosity of this product will increase over time.

Features: easy to see on light colored substrates. provides high elongation, modulus and tensile strength. requires no mixing; provides long working time with minimum waste; requires no ovens or other heat source for curing. resists sunlight, weathering, humidity and salt spray. solvent resistant when cured. Painting and most cleaning processes do not affect bond strength.
