Michelman® Michem ® Flex B3510I Transparent oxygen barrier coating
Categories: Fluid; Polymer; Thermoplastic; Adhesives, Sealants, and Coatings

Material Notes: Transparent oxygen barrier coating for flexible packaging. Michem® Flex B3510I is designed to be applied to polymer materials using gravure or flexographic coating processes. Suggested coat weight is 0.3 dry gsm. At the recommended coating weight, the dried coating is transparent, non-blocking and contributes to oxygen barrier properties of polymer materials. It should be undiluted and dried thoroughly after application. A black light can be used to see the coating during application to confirm uniformity of the coating onto the substrate. Usage: A transparent, high oxygen barrier, water-based coating designed primarily for polymer materials that can also be combined with metallization processes as a protective oxygen barrier coating. Michem® Flex Barrier 3510I has a UV indicator added for better visibility of coating during application when used with a black light.

Applications (properties imparted): Functional Coatings oxygen barrier.
