ChevronTexaco Texcool® P 205
Categories: Fluid

Material Notes: In service Texaco Texcool P 200 provides:
  • Silicate free
  • Excellent heat transfer properties
  • Superior corrosion protection for brass, copper, solder, steel and cast iron
  • Nitrite-free, amine-free
  • Mixes readily with clean tap water
  • 100% biodegradable in its pure unused form

Texaco Texcool P 205 is a 50 volume % mixture of Texaco Texcool P 200 and 50 volume % deionized water.

Texaco Texcool P 200 is a single phase, propylene glycol (USP) based product blended with a premium quality additive package. It is a silicate free coolant designed and approved for use in immersion or spray freezing equipment of packaged poultry or meat under the Federal Meat and Poultry Products Inspection Program. Texaco Texcool P 200 should not be used for automotive or nonstationary heavy duty diesel applications. This product provides antifoam properties, and rust and corrosion protection for brass, copper, solder, steel and cast iron. It mixes readily with any clean tap water and is compatible with cooling system filters and supplemental additives.

Texaco Texcool P 200 is free of nitrites and amines.

Texaco Texcool P 200 is an inhibited propylene glycol (USP) based product that is used as an industrial coolant and heat transfer agent. In non-USDA applications, Texaco Texcool P 200 may be used in applications where incidental contact with food is possible. This product is not intended for use as a food component or additive. The inhibitor system is designed to protect brass, copper, solder, steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other metals commonly found in industrial cooling and heating systems. A foam inhibitor is included to minimize foaming tendencies during service.

Extensive laboratory simulated service and actual service tests have proven the effectiveness of Texaco Texcool P 200 coolant in preventing corrosion. Use of Texaco Texcool P 200 coolant for heat transfer applications in place of brine solutions or uninhibited glycolwater solutions lowers maintenance costs and improved heat transfer.

Texaco Texcool P 200 meets the requirements of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for use in the immersion or spray freezing equipment of packaged poultry or wrapped meat under the Federal Meat and Poultry Products Inspection Program.

Typical test data are average values only. Minor variations which do not affect product performance are to be expected in normal manufacturing.
