BYK ADD-VANCE® NU 795 Nucleation Masterbatch, PP based  (discontinued **)
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer; Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polypropylene (PP)

Material Notes: Fields of application: Extruded and thermoformed articles made from PP resin.
Examples: Extruded sheets and thermoformed articles such as films, tapes, cups, food packaging and closures.

Mode of action and advantages: ADD-VANCE® NU 795 contains a very effective nucleating agent that outperforms traditional nucleation agents like talc and benzoate salts. Nucleating agents increase the rate of crystallization and the number of spherulites in the polymer as well as creates smaller and better distributed spherulites. A faster crystallization rate allows for higher productivity in molding and extrusion processes. An increased number of small spherulites in the polymer not only improves the stiffness and heat deflection temperature but also improves the transparency and optical performance

Advantages: The product combines unique shrink characteristics, physical properties balance and crystallization effects to improve performance in manufacturing speed, product performance and part specification compliance; Improved clarity in PP film; Improved product isotropy provides low warpage; Superior balance of mechanical and physical properties; High Vicat T and low CLTE; No taste or odor; Enhanced aesthetic; Non-sticking pellets, dust free dosing; and Safe and easy handling

Regulations: ADD-VANCE® NU 795 is suitable for food contact applications
