GEHR Plastics ECO-GEHR® PA 6.10 Nylon 6.10 Conditioned, 60% Sebacic Acid
Categories: Polymer; Renewable/Recycled Polymer; Thermoplastic; Nylon (Polyamide PA); Nylon 610 (PA610)

Material Notes: Nylon 6.10 is 60 % sebacic acid, which is obtained from castor oil. This material combines a low density (for polyamide) with good cold impact strength, and its low water absorption makes it very dimensionally stable. This is in addition to a very high (for bio-based polymers) continuous usage temperature of 212°F and its chemical resistance to organic solvents, for which PA is well known. This material can thus be used not only in traditional Nylon 6 applications, but also where the use of Nylon 6 previously reached its limits.
