PFA is a high-performance, melt-processable fluoropolymer that exhibits similar characteristics to PTFE. Weld rod can be processed with similar tools and techniques to polypropylene, with the exception of higher processing temperatures and ventilation needs. Product Benefits: Temperature range: -320°F to +500°F, • Exceptional dielectric insulation properties, • Negligible moisture absorption, • Low coefficient of friction, • Non-stick surface, • Very low gas permeation and outgassing, • Chemically inert to all industrial chemicals and solvents,F63, • High resistance to outdoor weathering, • Does not support combustion, • Low metals and ion extractables, • High performance in extreme thermal and chemical, environments. Applications: Pump housings and pipe linings, • Fluid handling or chemical processing equipment, • Wet bench equipment, • Tanks, • Hostile environments involving chemical, thermal, and mechanical stress, • Food processing and packing equipment, • Fabrication of fluoropolymer products. Made from Teflon®, a Chemours product, processed into shapes and components by Afton plastics. Information provided by Afton Plastics. |
