Solvay EF5313 Polysiloxane Polymer
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset

Material Notes: Description: EF5313 is a back pigmented polysiloxane polymer prepreg matrix suitable for high temperature applications. EF5313 recommended cure is at 190°C (374°F), followed by a post-cure at 300°C (572°F). Typical applications include lightweight heat shields and ducts to protect composite structures for short durations up to 600°C (1112°F). The life of components made from EF5313 at elevated temperatures depends on the time, temperature and nature of the hot environment and must be determinded by in-situ testing. EF5313 is suitable for light-load bearing applications.

Features & Benefits:

  • 5 day tack life at 21°C (70°F)
  • 20 day tack life at 21°C (70°F) with both release films in position
  • 12 months storage at -18°C (0°F)
  • Autoclave processing
  • Typical cure 6 hrs at 190°C (374°F)
  • Suitable for high temperature applications
