ChevronTexaco ISO 32 Turbine Oil TR
Categories: Fluid; Lubricant

Material Notes: Features

Chevron Turbine Oil TR is a premium quality turbine oil designed to meet the critical demands of bearings subjected to high temperatures.

It is formulated with ISOSYN™ base stocks

This ISO 32 high viscosity index mineral oil product is proven to significantly reduce operating temperatures of thrust bearings, especially compared to ISO 68 products of lower viscosity index.

High operating temperatures in advanced gas and steam turbines require a circulating system oil with exceptional high temperature stability. Some hydroelectric turbines have thrust bearings exposed to high operating temperatures as well. Chevron Turbine Oil TR provides an excellent protective lubricant film for reduced equipment wear.

Chevron Turbine Oil TR is a premium quality turbine oil with a high viscosity index to assure minimum viscosity change at higher operating temperatures.

It has very low carbon forming tendency

Nonvolatile oxidation inhibition minimizes the evaporative loss of the inhibitors, a common problem with turbine oils where bearing temperature are high and system capacities are limited. With retained oxidation resistance for long periods under high temperature conditions, Chevron Turbine Oil TR has proven that it can provide longer oil service life and increased turbine uptime. The corrosion inhibition protects costly turbine shafts and gears from corrosion and rusting.

Chevron Turbine Oil TR has excellent demulsibility to assure fast removal of water contamination. This allows it to maintain a high film strength coating on critical wear points of bearings and gear reducers.

Foam inhibition prevents sump overflow and erratic governor operation.

Applications

Chevron Turbine Oil TR is recommended for use in gas, steam, and hydroelectric turbines and marine gear turbine sets.

This oil has been successfully field tested in a Francis hydroelectric turbine.

It is also recommended for reactor coolant pump motor bearings, and auxiliary plant circulating systems such as low pressure hydraulic applications.

Do not use in high pressure systems in the vicinity of flames, sparks and hot surfaces. Use only in well ventilated areas. Keep container closed.
