Master Bond EP51ND Fast setting, two component epoxy for bonding and sealing
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy; Epoxy Adhesive

Material Notes: Key Features:
  • Easy handling
  • Paste consistency
  • Bonds well to a wide variety of substrates
  • Cryogenically serviceable
Master Bond EP51ND is a high performance epoxy featuring faster curing, convenient handling, and sound properties after cure. This nondrip system has a forgiving one to one mix ratio by weight or volume. EP51ND will generally set up sufficiently in about 10-15 minutes so that the bonded parts can be removed from a fixture or clamp. Full cure occurs in about 24 hours. EP51ND does not contain any solvents or diluents. Upon curing, it has very low shrinkage and good dimensional stability. EP51ND has good bond strength to metals, composites, glass, ceramics, vulcanized rubbers, and many plastics. It can withstand rigorous thermal cycling as well as thermal shock. EP51ND is electrically and thermally isolating. Its temperature range is from 4K to +250°F and it has been used in a number of demanding cryogenic applications. An interesting feature is that it can be mixed and cured at temperatures as low as 50-60°F. Although curing is much slower than at ambient temperatures, the system will fully cure in 3-5 days. The Color of Part A is amber and Part B is amber clear. There is another version where the A and B are color coded, called EP51ND-3. Here, Part A is black, Part B is white, and upon mixing, the final product is gray. Color coding is especially useful in determining if the epoxy is completely mixed.EP51ND is a versatile system that can be used in standard OEM, aerospace, optical, electronic, cryogenic, and field applications where a reliable and robust system is required..
