Material Notes:	Product description: SILFOAM® SD 168 is a very compatible, anhydrous antifoam agent that is easily disperable. SILFOAM® SD 168 is intended for incorporation into non-structured liquid detergents for foam control and polymer dispersions (latices) in order for deaeration. Application: By virtue of its chemical structure, SILFOAM® SD 168 is capable of regulating surfactant-based formulations, in particular liquid detergents; undesirable side effects such as incompatibility, insufficient alkali resistance or rapid loss of effect are significantly reduced. Its principal areas of application are in non-structured liquid detergents and cleaners. When introduced into dispersions SILFOAM® SD 168 shows relatively good compatibility with the polymer film and high efficiency during storage, especially at higher temperatures. Typical applications of SILFOAM® SD 168 are all kinds of dispersions, especially for the construction industry, masonry paints and adhesives. Information provided by Wacker Chemie AG.
