Features Chevron HiPerSYN Oils are synthetic compressor, bearing, and gear oils. They provide outstanding thermal and oxidation
stability, high viscosity index, high flash point, low pour point, and excellent hydrolytic stability. Chevron HiPerSYN Oils protect against rust, oxidation, and foaming, and have good antiwear properties. The natural thermal and oxidation stability of these lubricants, due to their high level of purity and refinement, has been further enhanced by their unique additive systems. The high thermal and oxidation stability reduces the formation of oxidation byproducts and acidic materials which will eventually cause deposits and varnish. They are able to withstand relatively high temperature operations for extended periods of time. They have very good demulsibility characteristics allowing quick release of moisture. They minimize entrained air, which could otherwise result in reduced lubricant film thickness and potentially lead to pump cavitation. Chevron HiPerSYN Oils pass the acute aquatic toxicity (LC-50) criteria adopted by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Chevron HiPerSYN Oils are registered with NSF and are acceptable as a lubricant where there is no possibility of food contact (H2) in and around food processing areas. The NSF Nonfood Compounds Registration Program is a continuation of the USDA product approval and listing program, which is based on meeting regulatory requirements of appropriate use, ingredient review and labeling verification. Applications Chevron HiPerSYN Oils are formulated to provide outstanding lubricating qualities for air compressors, especially portable and stationary rotary, vane, and screw compressors. Chevron HiPerSYN Oils are recommended for industrial bearings and gears, such as worm gears, that require an R&O type synthetic gear oil. Chevron HiPerSYN Oils are designed for applications with wide operating temperature ranges. They are especially effective in high temperature applications, like sootblowers, where outstanding thermal and oxidative stability are required. Do not use in high pressure systems in the vicinity of flames, sparks and hot surfaces. Use only in well ventilated areas. Keep container closed. Do not use in breathing air apparatus or medical equipment. |
