Momentive Performance Materials GE Silicones UltraGlaze SSG4000AC Accelerated Cure Silicone Structural Glazing Adhesive
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Silicone

Material Notes: UltraGlaze SSG4000AC structural glazing adhesive is a one-component, high-strength neutral cure silicone elastomeric adhesive with accelerated cure characteristics providing for enhanced early hour cure properties. SSG4000AC is useful in structurally glazed curtain wall applications. The material is supplied as a paste, which cures into a durable flexible silicone rubber upon exposure to atmospheric moisture.

Features: Silicone durability, Stable consistency (uncured state), Thermal stability (cured state), Primerless adhesion, Low sag or slump, Accelerated cure, High tensile strength, High tear strength, Compatible with these GE sealants insulating glass products: IGS3703, IGS3713-D1, IGS3729, IGS3723, IGS3733. Compatible with these GE sealants weatherproofing sealants: SCS2000, SCS2700, SCS9000, SCS2800 series. Compatible with these GE sealants SSG products: SSG4000AC structural glazing adhesive and SSG4800J, SCS2000, SSG4400 series. Non-corrosive cure byproduct with low odor.

Applications: structural glazing applications such as factory glazing of unitized curtainwall systems or in field constructed stick curtainwall systems. Use as a weatherseal product, when movement expected in the joint does not exceed its movement capability (±25%). Useful as a bedding material in the fabrication of doors and windows. SSG4000AC has been validated in designs as an appropriate candidate for consideration for use in protective glazing applications. Useful in panel stiffener applications.
