Wacker Pulpsil® 960 S Silicone Surfactant

Material Notes: PULPSIL® 960 S is a water dispersible, hydrolytically stable silicone surfactant based on a polyether modified silicone fluid.

Application: PULPSIL® 960 S was developed for application in pulp and paper industry. PULPSIL® 960 S:

  • enhances the efficacy of paper deaerators at a dosage of 1.0 - 10.0 % referred to solid material of deaerator.
  • improves the drainage / deaerating in the pulp process at following dosage levels:
  • hardwood: 0.02 - 0.10 % referred to fibers
  • softwood: 0.2 - 1.0 % referred to fibers
  • works itself as a booster for pulp-defoamers above its cloud point at a dosage of 2.0 - 20 % referred to active material of defoamer.
