Westlake EB171 MDPE Medium Density Polyethylene

Material Notes: Westlake EF171 is a MDPE resin suggested for use in shrink packaging applications. This material has good TD shrinkage, good optical properties, excellent machinability, and toughness. This resin grade complies with 21 CFR 177.1520. Melt temperatures of 380� F � 410� F are recommended for Westlake Chemical EB171 with blow-up ratios of 2.0:1 or higher. It is Kosher compliant. Test specimens for blown film: nominal thickness 1.3 mils; blow up ratio 2.5:1, die gap 50 mils. Resin contains low slip, low antiblock.
