Cabot BLACK PEARLS® 120 Specialty carbon black
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer

Material Notes: Product highlights: BLACK PEARLS 120 specialty carbon black is a general purpose pigment black suitable for a broad range of tinting applications. Easy to disperse, this economical pigment black can allow higher loadings in most systems.

Key application: BLACK PEARLS 120 specialty carbon black offers very blue undertone and high loading opportunities. It is a cost effective opacifying agent and offers excellent rub resistance as well as good viscosity and flow properties. These attributes make BLACK PEARLS 120 specialty carbon black suitable for a variety of applications including:

  • Tinting applications for plastics or coatings
  • General purpose extruded and molded plastics where basic covering or opacity performance is important
  • General dispersions and paper applications
  • Printing inks
  • Concrete and cement
Performance Features: BLACK PEARLS 120 specialty carbon black is an easy-to-disperse specialty carbon black offering relatively low covering performance. It is a cost-effective way to deliver low jetness for less demanding applications, or works as a tinting black in plastics or coatings applications. Its morphology enables relatively high loadings in masterbatches, effectively lowering formulation costs.
