GEHR Plastics PE-UHMW-ELS Polyethylene
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyethylene (PE); High Density (HDPE); UHMW PE (Ultra High Molecular Weight PE)

Material Notes: Polyethylene offers resistance to almost all acids and bases, detergents and hot water. PE has good insulation properties and is easy to weld. The operating temperature of HDPE is from -58 °F to +194 °F. Main Characteristics: light weight; high chemical resistance; high toughness (also at low temperature); good protection against stress cracking; high elongation; food safe; very good electrical and dielectric properties; soft surface (low tensile strength); HF welding not recommended; very low water absorption • difficult to varnish and glue; low steam permeability; not weather resistant
