SKAMOLEX panel designs have the following characteristics: - Max. service temperature: Up to 1150°C (2102°F)
- Hot-face applications or back-up insulation
- A large variety of specialized and versatile highly insulating refractory panels and shapes made of vermiculite
- Resistant to high temperatures, withstand direct flame impingement
- Good electrical resistivity
- Customized designs: Special shapes or panels, surface pattern and two-dimensional effects
- Available in various combinations of bulk density, insulation properties and compressive strength
- Have a myriad of uses and are ideally suited for lining hearth and heating appliances such as fireplaces, gasfires and stoves as well as night storage heaters, domestic boilers, and cooking appliances
- Also used in high temperature industries where special designs are required, possibly in combination with calcium silicate slabs.
