Polyplastics TOPAS® 5013L-10 Cyclic Olefin Copolymer (COC)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Cyclo Olefin Polymer

Material Notes: TOPAS® 5013L-10 is a high flow, internally lubricated injection molding grade with a 130°C heat distortion temperature. It is a glass-clear amorphous polymer with outstanding moisture barrier, chemical resistance, high purity and a non-reactive surface making it an excellent choice for healthcare and other high-tech products. This grade has a high heat distortion temperature to withstand 95°C PCR protocols, 121°C steam sterilization protocols, and gamma or EtO procedures.

Key applications and attributes:

  • Labware: Temperature resistant with glass-like clarity; purity
  • Microplates and biochips: Heat and chemical resistant, clarity and purity
  • Microfluidics: Exceptional mold detail replication; machinable
  • Optics: Clarity, low birefringence, low moisture sensitivity
  • Electronics: Low dielectric constant, high flow, thermoplastic
  • Cuvettes: More UV transparent than most resins
  • Healthcare and food: Broad regulatory approval
