Chesterton ARC S1 General purpose coating  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy

Material Notes: Description: An advanced polymer composite formulated to protect metal surfaces from corrosion and chmical attack. It is normally applied at a thickness of 250 microns (10 mils) per coat. Non-shrinking, 100% solids. ARC S1 is a low viscosity high performance composite lining that is designed to be spray applied but may also be applied by roller or brush. As a one coat system, it functions as a corrosion resistant primer for many high performance coatings. ARC S1 yields excellent barrier properties for long-term corrosion and chemical resistance in immersion exposures when used in a multicoat application. The cured ARC S1 provides a high gloss surface with adhesion and resistance to corrosion.

Benefits:

  • Outlasts conventional paints and coatings
  • Long pot life allows for ease of use
  • 100% solids, no shrinkage on cure
  • Outstanding adhesion insures reliable performance against under film corrosion
  • Able to be high voltage spark tested for pinhole free films

Suggested Uses:

  • Chemical Storage Tanks
  • Structural Steel
  • Pipeline Coatings
  • Clarifier Tanks
  • Petroleum Storage Tanks
  • Cooling Water Systems
  • Service Water System
  • Thickener Tanks
