Avient Catize® DLPA-1 Inherently Conductive Polymer/metal mixtures  (discontinued **)
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer; Polymer; Thermoplastic

Material Notes:

Description/Features:

  • A mixture of an Inherently Conductive Polymer and metal particles.

Applications:

  • Coil coating
  • Industrial maintenance coatings
  • Marine Coatings
  • OEM coatings
  • Rebar & Bridge Coatings
  • Fastener Coatings

As with any dry pigment, we do not recommend post adding Catize to a finished coating unless it is pre-dispersed in a suitable carrier. Catize should be added early on in the grind to ensure proper dispersion.

Disclaimer: Catize corrosion control additives are made under license of GeoTech's U.S. Pat. Nos. 5,976,419; 6,231,789; 6,440,332; 6,627,117 and other patents pending.
Catize has been tested in several finished coating formulations. It performs better on non-pretreated surfaces. Adequate cure time should be allowed prior to accelerated corrosion testing. Topcoating is not required for excellent salt spray results.
