Material Notes: ZOLTEK PX30 High-Performance Carbon Yarns are derived from a high temperature batch carbonization process; the same process used to manufacture all of ZOLTEK’s high purity ZOLTEK PX30 products. The many surface fibrils protruding in various directions from the stretch broken and subsequently carbonized spun ZOLTEK PX30 High-Performance Yarns make them ideally suited for high performance applications including carbon/carbon and other refractory composites.

APPLICATIONS: • High temperature packings and gaskets • Preforms for high temperature carbon/carbon and carbon/ ceramic composites • Specialty applications for reinforcement in polymer-based composites
