Wacker Elastosil® LR 6285 A/B Liquid Silicone Rubber
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Silicone; Silicone Rubber; Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR)

Material Notes: ELASTOSIL® LR 6285 A/B Liquid Silicone Rubber is a commercial grade, two-component system cures rapidly upon heating to a silicone rubber. It has been formulated primarily for preparation of electrically insulating tape and sleeving.

Special features:

  • Electrically insulating at low film thickness
  • Readily flowable
  • Long pot life
  • Good resistance to weathering and heat
Application: Wetted equipment surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned to minimize contamination. Curing is initiated by mixing at 10:1 ratio by weight of ELASTOSIL® LR 6285 A/B part A and part B. ELASTOSIL® LR 6285 A/B is not easily deaired and should be mixed in an airless mixing system. Parts A and B containers should be used on meter-mix equipment with static, airless mixers.
