| Product description: SILFOAM® SD 670 is an anhydrous antifoam agent based on organofunctional silicone fluids which exhibit a high compatibility with organic systems. SILFOAM® SD 670 is a self-dispersing product which spontaneously forms a fine dispersion when added to water. Application: Basically, SILFOAM® SD 670 is recommended for all organic systems that require a highly compatible antifoam agent. Thus, it is ideal for applications in which silicones would usually cause problems, e. g., printing inks, adhesives, and water miscible cooling lubricants. It is particularly recommended for systems with a high surfactant content or which entail high shear forces, e. g., the incorporation of pigments into dispersions. In those systems purely organic defoamers rapidly become ineffective.
