Chesterton ARC MXHT High temperature severe wear compound  (discontinued **)
Categories: Ceramic; Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy

Material Notes: Description: An advanced ceramic composite for the protection of all metal surfaces subjected to severe erosion, abrasion and chemical attack at elevated temperatures. It is applied at a thickness of 6mm (1/4”) or more. It is a 100% solids, non-shrinking coating. ARC MXHT is formulated with a high concentration of ceramic breads and fine ceramic particles for extremely abrasive environments where superior protection is needed. ARC MXHT is applied to a primed surface by trowel. It is chosen over ARC MX1 when abrasion resistance at elevated temperature is required.

Benefits:

  • Outlasts other wear resistant materials and coatings by 5-7 times
  • Excellent wear characteristics extend equipment’s operating cycles
  • Outperforms weld overlay or ceramic tiles
  • Tough resin structure resists thermal-mechanical shock.
  • Use in pH range 2-14 up to 130°C/266°F (wet service) and 230°C/466°F (dry service)
  • No need to post cure

Suggested Uses:Pumps

  • Elevated Temperature Fans/Blowers/Cyclones
  • Hoppers and Silos
  • Kiln Exhausters
  • Boiler Slag Systems
  • Electrostatic Precipitators
