Wacker Silfoam® SC 370 Silicone Antifoam Compound
Categories: Fluid

Material Notes: SILFOAM® SC 370 is a medium viscosity antifoam agent that is stable against hydrolysis, has an active ingredient content of 100 % and is based on an organically modified silicone fluid. In comparison to antifoam agents which are based on pure silicone fluids (PDMS) SILFOAM® SC 370 in general exhibits better compatibility with organic systems.

Application: SILFOAM® SC 370 is ideal for aqueous systems in which silicones would usually cause problems, e. g., the manufacture and processing of dispersions, paints and surface coatings, adhesives, cooling lubricants and textile applications. Due to its hydrolytic stability, SILFOAM® SC 370 may be used in a wide pH range.
