AISI 1015 Steel, cold drawn, 19-32 mm (0.75-1.25 in) round
Categories: Metal; Ferrous Metal; Carbon Steel; AISI 1000 Series Steel; Low Carbon Steel

Material Notes: The composition listed is only for structural shapes, plate, sheet, strip, and welded tubing. Hot-rolled and cold finished bars, semifinished products for forging, wire rods, and seamless tubing have a carbon content of 0.13 - 0.18%. Has better machinability and carburizing characteristics than the more formable extra-low carbon steels.

Applications: cold-formed, cold-headed, or forged parts which are low strength with hard, wear resistant surfaces.

Key Words: UNS G10150, AISI1015
