Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy; Epoxy Adhesive

Material Notes: Product Highlights:
  • First-rate dimensional stability
  • Easily machinable
  • Superior resistance to a variety of chemicals
  • Tremendous mechanical strength properties
  • Easy to use mix ratio of 1:1 by volume
  • service up to 232°C
Kohesi Bond KB 1043 is a two component, room temperature curing epoxy system suitable for bonding, sealing and coating applications. It has an easy to use 1:1 (Part A: Part B) mix ratio by volume and a favorable 100:70 (Part A: Part B) mix ratio by weight. The highlight of this product is its superior dimensional stability and excellent high temperature and chemical resistance. This product can be machined more easily as compared to other epoxies. KB 1043 readily cures at room temperature and can achieve faster cures at elevated temperatures. The optimal cure schedule is an overnight room temperature set-up followed by a heat cure at 70°C - 90°C for 3 - 5 hours. KB 1043 offers an extensive service temperature range of -51°C to +232°C. It is an adhesive that offers outstanding physical strength properties and adheres well to a wide variety of substrates including metals, ceramics, most plastics and glass. In addition to superior electrical insulation, it also offers excellent chemical resistance to a variety of acids, bases, solvents, fuels, oils and water. The color of Part A is gray and Part B is amber. KB 1043 is ideal for use in aerospace, electronics, electrical and specialty OEM applications. It is also available in a non-drip viscosity (KB 1043 ND).
